Question 3:16 Baits, and Lure Company...

Anyone here, fish these baits, or even know about them?

http://www.316lurecompany.com/our_story.html

(Hope I didn't violate any forum rules(?))

Really? It's huge, and looks like it has great action, that's interesting, and good to know thanks. Any other baits, or buds that use them?

I have a buddy that fishes the Armageddon, a few Freestyles, and the Mission Fish. He has caught several pigs on them that I have seen from pictures, but never have seen him seal the deal in person. It takes some serious patience to fish the baits when you are only looking for 1 big bite. They have some awesome action though. I'd hit it if I was a fish.

I know of them because I read the same swimbait forums you do. I can only dream of owning one of the hardbaits for now.

I'd pay a lot more than $89.99 for one that did that....

Hardcore SB fans are like JDM fanatics and anyone else with a passion I guess. They will buy a $250 lure, just to have it stripped and repainted for a couple hundred bucks. All I can say, is to every man his own.

Funny thing is, good luck getting one for that, notice all the hard baits are sold out, try a minium $100, and that's a "bro deal". They just had a release, of a mystery bait(no idea what you were buying, except that it was a big one 10"+) for $200, and it sold out(100 baits) in less than five minutes!

They are known for their realistic swimbaits, however at 49-85 dollars ea have none adorning the walls of my man cave.
I can buy a realistic 6.5 in trout for like 14 -15 including shipping and was over what I normally spend but splurged a bit myself.Called real fish baits. The smaller 4 in 12-13,an and a shad look alike for like 4 bucks(doppleganger).
They do look sharp but out of my pocket change and the others work so why bother.
There are a few times a Spro BZZ1 might make a difference the rest of the time I pocket the 15 dollar difference.

Without a doubt there are plenty of other swimbaits out there, much cheaper too, and responsible for way more big fish, Lunker plunker, BBZ 1's(which are a rip-off of a Jerry Rago bait), Mattlures, M.S. Slammers, even Huddlestons, but this is about 3:16, and their popularity. Even amongst 3:16 baits, the soft plastics, the Missionfish, in particular, are responsible for some of the biggest Bass caught in recent years, and much more affordable. I really wanted to know how many "regular" Bass fisherman have heard of 3:16 Lure Company(?)

I think many have heard of them, just many dont buy them as expensive, that said they do like the giant california trout thats also expensive have a following from those will to pay the price in search of giant fish, but dont think the majority are regular bass fishermen.
Like muskie fishermen seeking a trophy money doesnt seem to matter or 285 dollar swimbaits would see no sales.
But dont think the average guy out there has 1 let alone a box full, maybe times are changing dunno.

I am known on Ebay as swimbaitgringo. That should tell you all you need to know about my style of fishing...

I support Christian companies whenever possible, being Pentecostal myself.

That being said, I have nothing from 3:16 in my gear bag and probably never will. I refuse to pay over $20 for a lure. I showed my wife their website a couple months ago. Being Brasilian and a non-angler, I had to explain to her why they were so costly. Her response: "Larry the Cable Guy said it best in that movie where he's a restaurant inspector. That ain't very Christian!"

Not a theologian in anyway, not even Christian(Don't ask), but I have a little familiarity with "The Book", and isn't what you bring up pyro mentioned in Corinthians(9:1-18, specifically) about selling, or profiting from the Gospel, or word of God making the dollar the goal, rather than service to others??? Don't quote me, like I said, I'm not religious.
But...they are hand made(in the U.S.) of quality components, and take a tremendous amount of time, to design, develop, test and then make(re-make) and paint...so I can see why they have high price tags.
