What Lure...
Lake: Baw Beese Lake
Date: Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 Conditions: Sunny with partial cloud cover. Winds around 15-25 MPH with 35+ MPH gusts. Occasional thunderhead. Lake Conditions: This is a picture of a drop-off on Second Lake in the Baw Beese Lake chain. At the bottom of the picture, you are looking at 5'; the top, 17'. Try fishing ultra-clear water from 10 yards for a bedded bass. TOUGH!

Bagley crank, AC Shiner Jerkbait, BPS 3" senko ripoff, I would consider a spinnerbait even though the water is clearer than I'd really like (the chop on the surface will help that some though).
Bedded bass can be tough anyways.

i have caught bedded bass on table rock that were in less than 4 feet of water. the water was at leas as clear as it is in your pictures and probably more clear than that. i was with in 5 feet of being on top of these beds.....clear water, 4 feet deep, and five feet off of their beds in a bright red boat........they knew i was there. it was tough but i still caugh every fish that i stopped on, just had to get them to hit out of anger.

As I said, the water was still in the high 50's, low 60's, so I believe these were just the males fanning out the beds. Soon the big mama's will be upon us!
