Default Gonna order my rod this weekend

I have narrowed it down to either the powell endurance 723cef, max 733, or the Dobyns savey 733 any thoughts? I will be using it for soft plastics, worms, creature baits, texas rigged, and senkos. Also what is a finess rod and reel that would be good?

Flip a coin, literally. All 3 are going to be very similar and very good for your intended purpose. One is 7'2" and the other 2 are 7'3". Gary Dobyns had some hand in creating the actions and powers of Powell rods before he left to start Dobyns rods. The Savvy line and the Powell Max line are probably about as close as two different brands can be.

Between the three choices, I'd probably go with the one that has the lowest price as they are all so very similar. You can't go wrong either way.

That would probably be my choice as well.

I think I'd either get the Endurance, or the Savvy. The Endurance is higher grade then maxx, so the choice there is clear IMO.

What do you mean "Endurance is a higher grade than Max"? The rods are built on the same blanks, with the same guides, same reel seats, etc. Only difference between the rods is the cosmetics.

All three of these rods are the exact same price (at least on TW they are), and all three rods are VERY similar. Like Joe said, Gary Dobyns helped design the Powell rods before starting Dobyns rods.

I don't think any of these rods will give you distinct advantage over another. Pick which one you like the looks of best. If you decided to put the Curado on the rod, the Max will probably looks best. If you decided on the Citica, it would probably look the best on the Dobyns Savvy.
