Default Sort of a late fall GTG at Guntersville

A few of my friends from GA and TN are talking it up right now about spending a few days at the Goose Pond Colony on Guntersville in the second week of November. like November 11 through the 14th? (I have an ABA event on the 7th).
Rates drop in November through February. Here is a link to the website http://www.goosepond.org/lodging.htm

We are thinking of a cottage. With six guys, four nights would total about $93. a piece before taxes. Of course we would have to bring vittles to cook and all, but it sounds like it would be a blast. Arrive early on the 11th, fish, then spend 4 nights and leave on Sunday to go home. This is not a formal Bassfishin.com sanctioned get together, just a bunch of us getting together for some fishing on a premium lake with some good old fashion relaxing and shooting the breeze (or chewing the cud).

I really wish I had been more stingy with my paid time off this year, Bob. Otherwise, I'd love to come down there and meet you guys. Maybe next year at the member event.

JP Greeson mentioned flying me back out there sometime this fall to another GTG at his house on Lake Bob Sandlin, near Mt. Vernon, TX (I love that lake and neighboring Cypress Springs!)

Will do WJ, and you are missing out by not fishing that lake. In fact within 30 to 40 minutes of Bob Sandlin are a wealth of excellent lakes, including two Hotwater Discharge lakes at two power plants. The HW lakes are Monticello and Welsh. The other lakes besides the ones I just mentioned are Lake O the Pines (a bonified jewel in the fall and spring!), the Wood county city lakes like Winnsboro and some of the others, of course there is Lake Fork, and Caddo Lake. You really need to spend some time up there, my favorite part of Texas, and I dearly love all of the Texas lakes so that's says a lot for those lakes!

End, tackle and guard--sit on the 'end" of the bench, "guard" the water bucket and "tackle" anybody that comes near it.

Can I bring the baby? LOL
I'd love to, but it's looking highly doubtful. By that time, the baby will only be a few weeks old, I'll not have been back at work very long, and I've got to save some of my vacation days. I'd really, really like to, believe me, but I just don't see it happening. But I guess you never know, it might work out. We'll have to wait and see.

WE is the correct word use here. My evil esp mind waves have a definite effect on football games. Once, while standing on one leg while eating a nacho chip with only cheese on it I was able to force a blocked punt. Now, every time we line up in punt defense I must get on 1 leg and eat a specially selected chip, which I prepare 2 hours before the game so as to be acceptable to the ultimate authority. (nicksaban)

GOT IT?

What you don't play your starters in games you know you can't win.

I have made the victorious trip from Starkville to tuscaloosa many times after that game, including once when we held them to 100 yards total o. You dont need an escort. Football is a big nothing that late in the year in mississippi. Very docile.

I get it, I once believed that eating the same jalapeno and pepper jack cheese omelette ever morning was integral to the success of the high school team I was coaching. We lot in the State Finals that year
