Default Fail!

http://www.usacustomrods.com/

Wow! Now the bass won't know I'm fishin' cause they won't see the rod. I can get in close.
Better yet I won't need to buy a license 'cause the game warden won't see it either.
What next? Camo toilet paper? When I'm through with TP, it IS Camo!

You gotta be kidding... what's the point? I bet whatever they do makes the rods quite heavy as well.

I was thinking earlier today that the use of toilet paper is bad for the environment. We need to go to recyclable cloth. It would be more green (and brown).

The camo is as functionally worthless on a rod as the snakeskin that one of the sponsors had, but that doesn't mean its not pretty. Some people are concerned about aesthetics in addition to performance, and if you look at it from that angle, its worth what the consumer thinks its worth. The rod market is saturated anyway so you are bound to see more and more attempts to differentiate products.

That's major bull sh!it if it's meant to make it so the fish can't see you!! Looks cool though! But I also think it would add some major weight to the rod! I wish that they just sold the just the skins, other wise I may have to get the skin on mine... if they just sold the skins!

BB, the fish can't see you anyway, unless you're right on top of him. At a certain angle (can't remember where I put that book...hmmmm) the fish just sees a reflection of what's underneth the surface. The same way you only see the reflection of the sky or lakeshore 30 feet away from you (at least without polarized sunglasses...but the fish can't afford those ).

WTL you are right once again the skin does not make any difference on catching fish. You can not make an opinion on performance until you actually use something to form an honest opinion. I will tell you this with split grips it takes weight from the butt end of the rod so adding the skin with epoxy adds some of the missing weight, so I guess you could say it does add to the performance of the rod by making the tip lighter. If you want to know the performance of our products buy one of our rods and form an honest opinion that we can accept. Go to our site and read some testimonials or ask Kevin or better yet ask Kory with thunderstruckjigs. Naked Bait Co believes in our rods enough that we have joined together to build a signature series rod for their company. You will be seeing some articles out this fall on our company about the signature series rods and also on the snakeskin rod.

TGR...

There might have been a couple of your rods at this year's get-together event...I'm not sure because I was so new to the site and just getting to know everybody.

However, do you think it would be possible for you to maybe send 3-4 with someone (I'd volunteer! ) to the next Event? A couple different models showcasing your stuff would touch a lot of interested hands, hands that are obviously dedicated to fishing, and that get bitten by the bait monkey quite willingly. You'd probably get a ton of free testimonials and word of mouth out of it too. I am amazed at the geographical expanse of the membership of this site.

Respectfully,

Bryce

Yes I am planning on attending the next event when ever that will be. I will bring enough for people to look at and hold and even fish with. We know that we are a young company, but once you fish with one you will appreciate the craftmanship and quality of our rods.

I'm actually very much a believer in split grip rods. Again, I wasn't casting doubt on the performance of your rod, merely making the point that aesthetics dont really alter fishability.

I'll really keep yall in mind when I replace my flippin stick,b ut it should be several months.

Itīs not paint, itīs an application of a water soluble film in cammo pattern, it weights near to nothing so the weight gain is marginal at worse.

The water soluble film is placed on a tank where it floats, to apply it all they do is dip the item to be finished on the tank, as it dives the film adheres to it, pull out the item and now itīs painted, then alowed to dry and clear coated.
