Default 'nuther windy one...

kinda like 3dkicker was commenting on, the banks are full of 1-1.5 lb fish,
but where are the big mama's..
We took the day off and spend it on the lake, windy as heck, just the way we like it huh
about 76 out, water temp warming upper 50's. Sustained wind of 26, was about 14 when we launched the boat. We took an anchor with us and immeditaly broke the roap on the first dunk, had a spare and tied on to a better part of the roap.
Once we would find an area to work over, either flipping or cranking, most of the time we had to anchor.
Started out real slow, blubird skies, but no biggie, a front is coming in after the earthquake lol..
Got my first one on a wave crawdad in sweet tater, away from the timbers.
Kinda surprised us today, the windy bank had some fish, but the more we went shallow the dinks took over. Denny got a nice on on the Xrap,
i ended up with dozen small fish cranking. We did catch a couple nice 16 inchers flippen the timbers with brand new reeds growing, but ended up just fan casting for other bites the rest of the day over flats or small drops.
got a nice suntan at least
Point being of this post, dont let wind or blue skies hold ya back ,
go out there n figure it out. The pattern that at least caught us fish today
wasn't our first game plan, but after a few bites ya start putting the pieces of the puzzle together. I started looking for prime shade areas and that was key to finding fish today.
Threw the buzzbait n chatterfrog for ****sngiggles, knew it was to early, but nice to get the rust off the ol' arm huh.
