Thats pretty damn good for a first! wtg!
You can use that magnifying glass and blow that picture up as much as you like, then use the eraser tool to get the white glow off of cranky, and adjust the size of the eraser..another way is to use the smudgetool(right under the erasertool) and push the colors around crankys image, or push the background around..anyways,,outstanding job for the first!..how long it take ya?

It took about an hour once I figured out a basic idea of what I was doing. I'll work on the smudging next time around. I enjoyed it....

you can go to EDIT and transform and scale or rotate or distort any image, then use the move tool, and the program will ask you if you want to save the transformation before you do more, plus you can always go to EDIT and take as many steps backwards as needed if you make a mistake.
Plus on each project, click on the uppertoolbar for WINDOW and then layer, and the pallette will appear showing you each layer, you can alternate back and forth between layers once you see the palette...your palette may open every time you start ps. mine doesnt..i'll give ya more instructions in PM anytime ya get stuck..so we won't bore the gang lol
