Graph and CD Player Installation
Hey guys. I'm new to this site and so far enjoy it. Good information in here, so i thought i would get some of my own. I just purchased a graph for the front at the trolling motor and i'm not sure where to mount the transducer. The graph at the steering colum has a shoot through hull mount from the factory, and i'm not sure if i want to try to do a shoot through hull on the front or mount it on the trolling motor.
Also, my wife got me a CD player for the boat. Just wandering where to mount the speakers. Thanks guys. Good luck and and be safe. The boat is a Triton TR186 with Motorguide trolling motor. Yamaha V-Max 150. |

always mount it on the troller..the idea being you need to know how deep it is at the troller not at the back of the boat..

Yep-mount it on the trolling motor. I use one of these:
http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...=SearchResults Having it above rather than below the TM housing keeps it a lot more protected and keeps it out of the way.

I appreciate the info. I did mount it on the TM and is working well. The only problem i have so far with it is the temp. is different than the temp on the graph on the dash. The graph on the dash is mounted with a shoot through hull from the factory. It has the cable on the back of the boat. The 2 graphs differ avg. 5-7 temps. Any reasons or suggestions?
Thanks. |

troller gauge sticks down in the water farther.. the rear temp sensor is likly 12" or so under the water where as the average troller is 24+" under water..
