Question Jigs?!

I am thinking on using some JIGS tomorrow, I have one that is pumpkin seed orange, is that a good colour? How should I fish it? And where?

Thanks,

That is a good color. I fish them in the same places I fish a T-rig. the biggest difference is the retrieve. Instead of a lift/drop I drag it so it scoots across the bottom looking like a crawfish.

black and blue is the most used here, along with either punkinseed or crawdad brown

A good technique I have used is to make short pitches into lilly pads, working it back slowly to the boat. If a bass is there, they usually hit it within seconds of landing. Takes heavy tackle for this application.

As for techniques, I reel very slowly draggin it across the bottom.
as for colors, black/blue jigs are my favorite. I've also had luck with Booyah's Motor Oil colored jig. I caught my biggest PNJ bass was on a PBJ colored jig with a 4" purple senko.

Keep on tryin' Stevo, I just started using jigs about two weeks ago and caught my first PNJ bass today!!! Man was I excited, even only a little 13". Keep at it, you'll get it eventually. Them jigs take some figurin' though!!

P.S. - I fished my jigs on large, open, weedless/minimal weed areas, like on flats and slow tapering weedless points.
