Default What Bass Magazine Do You Read? Recommend?

I went to a Barnes & Nobles this weekend and was looking specifically for a Bass magazine. Could not find one. I looked for Field & Stream-not there either.

I can go on-line & search for magazine subscriptions, but which ones are good? I liked the old school feel of Field & Stream from about 20 years ago when I last read it. I would like something with tips, tricks, techniques specifically geared towards catching bass in the south.

Any ideas?

I used to subscribe to BassMasters magazine for years and InFishermen magazine, both are excellant, however I think bassmasters has a tendency to promote certain tackle companies with stories of success just so you will buy the lure the are promoting....both are full of tips and statagies.

In fisherman is the best for strategies and migration articles on all species of fish. Point taken, with some its all about bass, infisherman does articles on walleyes alot, cats, crappie, bass, sturgeon, gills, perch etc etc

Yeah Zook, I totally agree with you that BASSIN' is all talk, no advertisement, and stuff like "...use this..." or "...I used this to win...". No, not in BASSIN'. BASSIN' is just straight fishin' talk about bass. What I like is that for all the techniques used and featured in the rag, they give specs on line type, reel type, rod types for what was used to catch fish in a certain situation.

I subscribed to Bassin tonight. Thought it strange that they consider a years subscription is only 7 magazines. Anyway, I placed the order and am awaiting the first magazine.

I like Bassin' and In-fisherman. There was a nice one, but it was really small at the local store that I was going to get until I saw it was $15!! I think that's rediculous for a magazine. I forgot what it was called though.

About the 7 magazines, they might combine some months into fishing seasons. Thats what another magazine I get does.

I read GAFF [not geared toward bass fishing though, saltwater] In-Fisherman, Florida Sportsman, and Woods N Water.

Zooker, when I went to NC 2 summers ago I picked up a North Carolina Sportsman, it was an informative and interesting read.

Bassmaster and FLW. I also get BASS Times. Tried Bassin' but wasn't overly impressed. Maybe I need to check it out again.
