Default LipBalm with Sunscreen

Hey just a heads up on wearing sun screen while fishing and now more and more cases of lip sunburn are being reported..thank goodness
lip balm manufacturers are now including sunscreen in there products.
Dont let a bad sunburn ruin your fishing outing!
Too bad this angler didn't apply his balm soon enough before the blisters..
bad thing is he carried a tube on the boat but just forgot to apply.

Good tip to pass on JB. I've been either using lip balm or rubbing sunscreen into my lips before taking part in any activity which involves being out in the sun. And it does not have to be bright dirrect sun either. Those UVA rays can get ya through overcast skies too.

That's weird, I try to avoid the details, I find that way I don't have to try and burn images from my eyes.

I have noticed that JB uses subtle details with his photoshopped pictures as an expression of his humor, as when using C-rig Co. Name and then the use of the Red Head with Zooker. So the details are just meant to be funny no more no less.~woody

woody,
theres a lot of hit and miss in my pictures, of course the ideas are the hardest to come up, and then good source pictures to cut and layer into the original...but almost always when I am searching for something in particular I end up finding something else that once I see it on a google image search, I know I can use it, sometimes its tweaking my original idea, other times it goes in a other direction.
With Zooker, well, he's been stuck on red heads in the past, I started looking at pics of redheads to finish the picture.
For kory, I started out wanting to make a picture that wasn't offensive to him and also tried to plug his ThunderStruck jig product with the old English tat on his arm with TS, as well as the t shirt with the product name..
I had those lips ready about a week ago and just figured a way to use them last night.
And as always, the beers along the way help with the process Rofl *hic*

Guys, I use SP50 sports sunblock, and I use a lot of it. I came down with skin cancer two years ago on my forehead, and I wear a baseball brim hat and still got it. It looked real bad. fortunately, they caught it in time, and it's been two years and I'm still clean. I don't use lip palm but I'm going to start this year. You just can't be too careful out there. Cancer is serious stuff once you get it. Your life changes real fast.

I'm also thinking of switching from T shirts to those light weight long sleeve fishing shirts to further protect my exposed arms.

I expect you guys know. But just in case. After rubbing on sunscreen you need to wash your hands. If anyone doesn't believe this try fishing with a plastic worm tainted with sunscreen and see how many fish you catch in comparison to a clean worm.

Or perhaps you should clean your hands with WD40 as that attracts the fish

I know guys that love WD40 as a scent, and they boat plenty of fish.

These are all very good tips when it comes to protecting yourself from the Sun's damaging UV rays. One other defense that has yet to be mentioned is the use of a good pair of sun glasses while out there on the water.

after applying sun screen; once hands have been cleaned with WD40; note: avoid the rubbing of your eyes

Woody, I take it for granted that we all wear sunglasses while on the water unless it's pre sunrise or post sunset conditions. Even on dark cloudy days I never venture out on the water with out polarized sunglasses. I wear bifocals and have special clip-ons that came with my glasses for full protection. While they work ok, I'm really thinking about trying a pair of Cacoons as you get full 180 protection. Just not so sure I can get use to having two glass arms behind each ear.

JB,That would make to much sense LOL But just incase you forgot that you had left them in your truck, make sure your fishing partner is kind enough to let you borrow his spare pair.
