Tru-Tungsten 4inch swimbaits

I was poking around tackle warehouse and came across these. They look like their version of the spro 4 inch bait. Cant wait to get my hands on one, as Ill probably be picking up one of these instead of the spro 4 incher.

At least the tru tungsten can be fished a few different ways with 1 bait. Just add a ball, and your wake bait turns to a slow sinker.

Of all of the swim baits I throw, and I do throw a lot of them. Matt Lures are the best I use. His Shad and blue gill have led to many good fish for me. When ever I am asked about swim baits, I will always refer to this place for the smaller sizes.

I have the blue herring in slow fall. They should call it takes forever to fall. It won't stay in the strike zone at all. You can only reterive it slowly. But if patient in your cast you will exp. One of the most realistic swimming baits you ever used. Also have to admit after i dropped 20.00 bucks on it. I have'nt caught a dang thing with it.

I have been looking for some time at those $30 baits to see if they would work down your way. I just can not justify that kind of money, but they may be the ticket on the pigs down there since so many are catching them 10+ on huge live bait from here that go down there.

I guess I am hard headed and I want to use artifical but most from here use live. Some go to the AR river and use throw nets for those big shad and they use ballons for bobbers like in Fla.

I am going to keep trying and I think a very large swim bait may fool some if you can work it slow enough.

Maybe some of th Ca members can give us a tail or two how and what they used for some 10+ out there. I did get me some of them Doug Hanna snakes that are pretty expensive. I have been down once with them and no luck with the white color. I am going to try the dark ones t or c-rig Feb or March when I start going down. Just to many surgeries and down time from the summer on to get a lot of fishing in.

One of the firefighters uses something simular to what these are and he said they may count to 30 or 45 and they use slow ratio reels like 4 to 1 something like and just turn slow. His Dad has caught several 10's way deep over the tree tops. He said he hates to fish like that but one Fire Dept tourny he said they fished for hours so slow fishing with no bites and he was so bored and then they turned on several hours later and they won the Tourny. So I listen and learn, but I had so much baits and rods and reels to buy this year the $20-30 baits have waited.

We recenly bought a Spro 4 incher, but havent' had a chance to fish it yet cause of a little thing called ice. Anyways, I saw these and come spring, I'm getting a Perch colored one. Can't wait.

Here is a budget minded swimbait maker. He makes a good product at a reasonable price. Try out the mini swimbait in the crappie color. I buy most of my hard swimbaits from him.
