Your arm is pretty extended towards the camera so I'd guess in the 5-6lb class. Maybe more since your fist/hand gives a little clue as to the size of the bass. Then again how much did you weigh in the pic?

I merely need to know one thing. Measure the distance across your hands at the knuckles. Make a fist when you measure it.
For instance, if your hands are 4-1/2" across the knuckles as are mine, I would put that bass at 23" and pretty stocky too. At that size, I'd go about 7.5 lbs. If your hands are more like 4" across, then it's more like 5.5 lbs.

If thats a 5lb bass then i need my eyes checked, I actually did weigh this bass when I caught it... but i read the wrong side of the scale lol, i read the KG and it was close to 5, but i never knew what that ment, so lol... and im not really extending it towards the camera that much, it just appears that way.

5 kg is 11 pds,almost 5 kg is a 9 or 10 pd fish,depending upon how almost it was.
Hard to judge from a photo ,with the fish held out in front, not up close to say chest and held across. My guess is 8-9 ish. When you have a possible trophy measure girth and length, both will give a fairly accurate weight without a scale.Along with a photo can also make a decent plastic replica. Without those there will always be doubt in many peoples minds. |

I caught it at like 5:00 AM on a 5/16oz booyah jig (black/blue color) with a YUM craw (black/blue color) for a trailer.
I'm not really like holding it towards the camera or anything, if you look at my arm its bent at the elbow still, I guessed it at 8lbs when I caught it, since I had caught some 5-7's that we're smaller than it, I didn't want to guess any higher... who would believe me? haha.

I'd would have said around 8lbs as well. Either way, it's a nice fish.

I've seen a bunch of 5-6 pounders and that fish is easy over 7 probably bigger. Hard to guage a fish from a photo but I do know one thing... It's a Biggun.

Hard to say from that small of a pic, but I'd guess 7-7-3/4.
