Default 7'6'' Lunker rod round #2

Well after my friend sent this rod to the bottom of lake Standford...
http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishin...ad.php?t=23370

He ask to me do another one..Only in a greyish/silver color....(I guess Im the only one who likes bright green on rods)haha.

He wanted it exactly the same ...To which I think I matched really well.Another Rainshadow RX7 HVY/Fst 7'10'' cut down to 7'6''.. .I did a few things differently..Nothing much, just brought the guide wrap inlays in a little closer and added a few more single turns in the buttwrap.
I also drop the guide sizes down a few sizes which I think proved to be alot better in the test casting.Provided a much cleaner, straighter path from the reel to the tiptop.
I used the Fuji Alconite BKTAG #6,7 and the BLNAG #10,12

Overall Im happy with the results..Always room for improvments...I think Im done puttng the hook keeper in the butt wraps...No matter where I put it..Im not happy...Im gonna go back to keeping it a separate wrap on the bottom of the blank.

I also made a counterbalance for the rod..Didnt quite give me the perfect balance I was looking for ,but this balances about half an inch in front of the reel seat..Rod feels great for it size!...Ill perfect the counter balance with time.
Still love the these grips, and the 3'' butt grip makes two handing casting so easy.

Walker, your rods look better with every one you do!

You need to stop posting these pictures, you're making want to build another now and I have neither the time or money.

Rod turned out great Walker! I really like the gunmetal tiger. I hope you used the floating grips on this one!

Yea no kidding,Im gonna start spraying expanding foam in the blanks

Thanks guys for all the comments...I went out into a church parking lot and test casted it with a weight approx 3/8oz at most on 12lb test.
(the rod is rated 3/8 - 1 1/2oz and 12-20 line)
It burned the spool to my backing every cast with plenty more distance to go, and the line (cxx which I hate) passed through the guides effortlessly.
