Default Today is the day

To sort everything out and reorganize all the lures. Some that can be weeded out will be. Those that are seasonal will get stored in a seperate box with older lures I can't bear to part with. I'm changing which bags hold which lures. I'm laying all the hardbaits out on a banquet table and then going to go from there. I'll try to post a few pics of all the lures.

Every year I start on this with the best of intentions. The new FLW magazine says that if you haven't used a lure in the past two years to get rid of them. I've got some that haven't gotten used in FOUR years and every time I think I should get rid of them.....just can't bring myself to do it. However, this week I'll give it the old college try once again.

I fully understand buddy. I have lures I have had good luck with that for some reason havn't seen the water in the past few years. I still have them though. It's hard to put them in the standby box incase I choose to take them along at anotheer time. But in a small boat, space is of the essence.

I hear that! I'm in the process of whittling down my stuff for the kayak Florida trip at the end of the week. I carry 18 rods in my boat - 4 on the 'yak, how will I ever manage? 6 plano boxes of hard baits down to one - IMPOSSIBLE. But the worst will be the plastics. I carry enough on the boat to fill a Xerox paper box, and I have to thin that out to about a shoe box. If it were not for the TWO tackle bags of "back up lures", that can stay at the house or in the vehicle, well it wouldn't be feasible.

Just got all my rod and reels all straightened out, just need some more fluorocarbon to fill my new reel, lol. Probably wont organize all my tackle till later though... of now in inventory is very low on everything, I'd like like to wait till I get some more stuff later this year. lol
