whats goin on folks, i too am currently here in iraq. out of al asad air base. i am stationed at cherry point nc. ill be home here in about 2 or 3 weeks and am looking forward to breaking out the rod and reels and maybe even catching a fish. i have never fished on fork, but plan on going down there in sept for the big bass splash. ive got a buddy who just got out of the corps who is from the fork area that fishes the lake all the time. we hope to at least be contenders in the tournament but if not itll be fun either way.

The last time I was in Iraq I was at Balad as well. Too bad I am up in Kentucky, I'd love to hit Fork with ya when ya get back...I have always wanted to fish there.

a buddy of mine and me are going to take a trip out on fork with a guide in april. hopefully we will learn some good spots that we don't already know about. i will let you know.
