If you use Seafoam do you also need Stabil?

Seafoam says it acts as a fuel stabilizer. Do you think I should also use a stabilizer like Marine Stabil, or is that overkill. If I were storing it over the winter (northern NH, aaaaaaaarrrrgh!!!) I would add Stabil to a full tank and hit it with Seafoam in the spring. Trying to keep it simple and as inexpensive as possible. Thanks.

If you use seafoam you do not need stabil. But even though I use seafoam I still use Startron by starbright!

I use stabil in winter with a full tank of gas in my bike, then spring use the sea foam, its helped a bunch on Dennys motor after just one treatment.

i only use it when spring starts and i haven't been out in a while. or maybe when the gas i use has gotten water or something in it. cleans out all the gunk left over winter.

Seafoam will also help your saltwater boat keep fuel/water separation at a minimum.

With the Ethonal issue drawing moisture into fuel tanks and ruining fuel lines I think it could be a wise investment to treat EVERY tank full.

I may be the oddbal here but I've never used seafoam or stabil and I've never had a problem that was caused by my failure to use those items.
I'm just throwing my 2 cents in here.

Unlike me,my fuel has never become unstable.

Honestly if you use your boat a lot and do not let fuel get old, [which is only a couple months with todays fuels], you don't need anything as far as the fuel goes, but the SeaFoam will keep your engine clean and free of carbon which is the main thing that causes 2 stroke engine failure!

I use both MARINE STABIL for the ethanol/fuel issue and Ring Free (Yamaha) for the engine. An ounce of prevention, etc., etc. and I add both EVERY time I add fuel. Both (water or carbon) can be the cause of major engine repairs which are expensive, I don't care how much money you have. In addition to all that, I also have a water seperation filter (Yamaha) installed in the fuel line. I haven't had any problems, and don't want any.
