Please help! 5" Visibility!
Ok guys I am going to a pond that has lots of weeds and has about 5" visibility. I already have a black/blue Senko tied on my baitcaster. But what should I put on my spinning rod? Will a white fluke work? Thanks.
Tom

Yes, that's a good idea for this time of year especially since it is weedless. I'm not too sure about the 5" of visibility part though, never really fished anywhere that dirty. Maybe try a spinnerbait to make some vibration too.

Yeah, that color senko should do pretty well, but one thing I would do to mod it a little bit!
Get some JJ's magic in the chartreuse color! It's got a VERY strong garlic sent and will die the bait a little. All you need to do, is open the jar and dip the first 1/2" or more of the tail. This will give the tail a chartreuse hue, will add lots of scent, and help them see it better. Or even to add a little more attraction, put a little more rattle in there. Not to big of one, otherwise it'll sink to fast. And make sure to put it about in the middle of the worm so it still falls horizontally rather than vertically.

Might try a heavy jig and pig, bounced off the bottom to create a little more noise and a nice big profile that would help for sight in poor vis.

I'd be throwing a white double colorado spinnerbait . Lots of vibration and can be worked slowly.

Opportunity to apply "lessons learned"
Next time, consider using a fat body, wide wobble crankbait as well. Move as much water as you can to create pressure waves that will register on the lateral line. Different type of disturbance than rattles.

With visibility down to 5", I think a stick of dynamite might be in order.
