Knot for connecting Braid to fluoro?

What type of knot should I use to connect PP to fluorocarbon leader that I will be using to flip/pitch with? Also how would you tie it?

personally i would not put a mono or flouro leader on power pro.if PP can cut through pads and weeds the way it does,i don't think it would have a problem doing the same thing to mono....just my 2 cents.
you're defeating the purpose of power pro doing that(IMO)..tie it to a barrel swivel if you insist on using a leader.

I have to agree with Tom-for flipping and pitching I wouldn't use a leader. Now, for fishin a worm, jig, etc.that you want to use a leader I'd recommend a Uni to Uni knot:

I use the "J-Knot", as shown on the Dupont Stren website. There are two unique aspects to this knot. One, it's b---h to tie, especially in a wind. Two, I rarely lose a flouro leader at the knot.

Oh yeah...Three, my partners have to wear earplugs

when I'm trying to tie on a new leader in the boat.

I kinda disagree with what some of you said....I think that under certain circumstances you SHOULD use a leader with PP.....For example...How many of you Dropshot? You ever get that annoying line twist? Cant figure out a good way to get rid of it? I use 20lb PP which has 6lb diameter. Iuse a double uni knot to add 10-12 ft of florocarbon. NEVER again will you have line twist and you have just made your dropshot setp super sensitive!!!!! just my .02

I do agree with you about you DO NOT need a leader for flippin/pitchin.

Also take a black Sharpie and color the first 15-20 ft. Braid has a tendancy to lose it olive color in the sun/water fairly quick......

On occasion I'll put a leader on my c-rig, only if I get hung up I want to be able to break off the hook, because with 50# braid it is a little tough to dislodge the hook. Usually I'll use florocarbon because of the invisibility or I'll use Stren High Impact lo-vis 15# line for the leader. And I agree no leader when flippin.

ok, power pro , in extremely dense weeds i wouldn't use a leader, and I 'd use a marker. in rocks I'd go to completely different rig.. bass pro florocarbon or toray hardshell ... and for pitchin.. no braid for me... absolutely not... braid has no slack line sensitivity and in pitching, most fish hit on the fall, you want your lure to fall on a controlled slack line. bass pro xps or toray florocarbon gives you low stretch, high abrasion resistence needed in this tough environment, I'

duh? be careful what you buy.... bps is a good all around floro and cost less than many of the so called superior brands .... toray is very exspensive but is also very good. sugoi from gary yamamoto if very good too.

Personally, for flippin', I would not use a leader. But I do use a leader on with braid almost every time. I use fluorocarbon because mono defeasts the purpose of sensitive braid. I use the Albright Special for all my line-to-line knots.

Rob, the blood knot is a very good knot for line-to-line applications. although, I've been trying to learn it since mid summer. still no luck. I'll stick with the albright special. Very easy to tie and IMO, a very good knot.

A buddy of mine told me to use a drop of superglue on the knot connecting the flouro to the braid. Would that work and/or make a difference?

Doesn't hurt, you just can't touch it or use the rig until it dries. A good knot will usually preclude the need for the glue though.
