13 fish today:
12 peacock on fly
1 largemouth on spin

I got an awesome replacement fly rod today! I am glad I had it!

I started off today in a school of smaller fish. This is the 1,000 peacock/largemouth I have caught in the last 316 straight days of catching a fish!

Check it out at http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishin...727#post151727

I continued fishing...

2 pounds 14 ounces

2 pounds 8 ounces

2 pounds 14 ounces (different fish, but same weight)

3 pounds 13 ounces - 19 inches

I took some other pics today. Thanks for the idea JRL.

I caught 3 today:
2 largemouth on fly
1 peacock on fly (18 inches but I didn't take a picture)

This is the second biggest largemouth I have ever caught on fly, and my biggest on a 4 weight fly rod.

3 pounds 2 ounces

19 inches

That is just how some of the little peacock are colored. Speckled Peacock have a certain type of black mark on their head. I saw a monster peacock yesterday. Hopefully I can put my dad on that same fish today.

I fish with streamers mostly. To tell you the truth I don't catch to many big bass on fly. That 3 pound 2 ouncer is my second biggest ever.

I caught a largemouth on spin and a peacock on fly today. I guided my dad to 4 peacock on fly after he got off home from work.

I use a couple different fly rods in freshwater. I have two 4 weight fly rods (one is being repaired). One is 6' 6" and the rod I caught that fish on is
7' 6". The rest of the fly rods I use, salt and fresh, are 9' long. I like the feel of a shorter rod with the lighter line weight.

Default 3 pound 12 ounce peacock on 4 weight fly rod

2 peacock on fly today

The biggest of the day at 3 pounds 12 ounces

This is the biggest bluegill I have ever caught. It ate a crankbait!
It fought pretty well for its size. I thought it was a little peacock or a mayan.

Jeeze Islandflyfisher, that bluegill is a beast!!!! Wondering if that's a coppernose bluegill b/c I was looking at the bluegill from my Ichthyology textbook at the sunfishes in KY and there's nothing like that around here, but I read that there are 3 subspecies of bluegill in Florida. I bet you slay those things during the spawn though. Good work on those fish and keep 'em coming!

My friend got a monster bluegill, not quite as big, last time I went in my boat. It also came on a crankbait.
My dad caught a 9 1/2 incher on fly last week, too. I went back to the same spot a day or two later, and there were a bunch that size swimming around. They are really coming around down here, not that I target them.
All three came from different spots.
I wish I could see a picture of that texas. lol

Hopefully I can get some sleep now.

Yesterday I got 6:
4 peacock on spin (one was 19 inches, but no pic or weight)
2 largemouth on spin

Today I got 5:
3 largemouth on spin
2 peacock on spin

Today's biggest: 4 pounds 1 ounce - 19 inches

I saw this snake, too. I am pretty sure it is a water mocasin.
