Default Cheapest Tungsten weights?

I've been looking around for the cheapest tungsten weights, in the event that I want to buy some. Cheapest I've found is Hippo Tackle Tungsten Bullet Weights, at 82 cents per weight for the 1/8 and 3/16. I thought some of y'all might be interested in it. Also, wondering if anyone else knows of a cheaper brand out there?

thats a good price. I found the 1/4 oz 4 pack of Kanji brand weights at Bass Tackle depot for $3.99 but the hippo you found is cheaper in all the other sizes.

Boss, unless you like giving your money away - stay away from tungsten! Now maybe in some of the rivers you will be fishing don't have pike, but once you get on a lake look out (if it's anything like Michigan)! I've had days were you would have back to back casts, feel the bump then feel nothing on your line. Some of the old guys in our club buy the cheapest hooks and weights they can find because they know they will lose them to pike.

Gee, I never thought about that. Well, I'll use lead and if they pike stay away I'll think about getting some tungsten.

Even out here where tooth critters are not an issue, I only use tunsten when lead isn't getting the job done. When I calculate the cost of the line, weight, hook, and bait, the lost snags can add up quickly.
I really don't worry about tungsten for most things under 1/2oz.
Obvioulsy I suggest that you take that with a grain of salt since I have been known to have some really bad days on the water.

I agree I'm not buying into tungsten , just like I'm not buying into fluorocarbon.Fished many, many years before that stuff ever came along with great success. jmho

I see where ya coming from John. I've used tungsten and the stuff is great IMO. Sensitivity went through the roof, I was stunned.
