Powell Spinning Rod
I'm looking to make an impulse buy on a powell spinning rod. I want to use it for shaky heads and other generic spinning rod tactics (fluke, wacky worm, etc). But mainly shaky head and maybe down the road for a drop shot, but not in the near future, i dont really have any confidence in it and dont use it at all. So here is what im looking at http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Powel...cpage-PMS.html .
The one im looking at is the top one, the 683-MEF, and its one sale which helps. Just wonder your opinions on powells (ive never owned one) and what you think of the specefic rod. Thanks yall Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't have any first hand knowledge re: Powell, but I say go ahead and get it..for $100 how can you lose? Plus if you wait any longer it won't qualify as an impulse buy!

I have a couple of Powell baitcasting rods. I like them very much. Very responsive rods. I would say go ahead a make the move.

I have a Powell baitcasting rod too, I like it a lot. They are well built with quality components and Powell has a good reputation for standing behind their rods. If I didn't build most of my own rods, I would definitely own more than one.

I have a couple of their spinning rods and like them, a 7'2" and a 7'3" or a 7'3" and a 7'4". One is a Light and the other is a Medium. No complaints about these rods, but I didn't use them much this year.
