Default Pflueger President

okay so i finally decided to go with the president after a long time deciding. i think i am going to go with the 6740X model because it can handle up to 12lb line.. although i use a 10

1) should i do that??? or should i go with a smaller model, i fish mostly smaller lakes, ponds, but sometimes bigger ones.

2) What rod size and strength should i get when i fish mostly senkos and tikis??? brand recommendations would be appreciated too..

sorry about repetition of the post but everytime i do we get off topic haha thanks guys

Yeah get a Saint Croix, G-Loomis, or a Rogue Rod 6'6" MH with a fast action. Not familiar with the All Star rods, other than someone here who will pop up I'm sure, right Reb, uses them all the time LOL. The All Stars are sold all over, and I haven't really heard anything negative about them. Might I suggest you go pick it up, with your own hands, and see how YOU like it though.

get a medalist reel and put it on a team allstar rod or an all star platinum series rod.YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!! i use the 6040 size.a bigger reel is less prone to line twist, casts furthur and is stronger.
