I would use something that displaces a lot of water like a spinnerbait or a crankbait. I would also use a u-tail worm fished slow around the brush and tops. If there hitting topwater i like to use a popper or a jitterbug that could be fished slowly or quick across the water... Good luck dude catch a biggen

Good advice. I'd also tie on a spinnerbait with a big, single Colorado blade. Tough to beat for real stained/muddy water.

A big spinnerbait or a big shallow diving crankbait with a wide wobble. Flip into the brush with a jig and creature baits.

I would also throw a black spinnerbait with a big Colorado blade. Slow roll that around brush/wood. I agree with the junebug color but dont leave out Blk/blue or Blk/red. Use plastice that displace water...Brushhogs, Sweet Beavers or even Lizards. Senkos are are a great choice if you T-rig them with brass and glass(use a t-rig for the other choices I mentioned). Toss them to your target and shake to get them to "click". Then move them a little and shake some more. I would also throw PnJ. You want those to have rattles as well. Noise in murkey water really helps attract fish. Always let the fish dictate to you what they want!

Bigger spinnerbaits with alot of vibration are the ticket MOST of the time. If they are in a crankbait bite the nosier baits (more rattles of bigger rattles) get the thumbs up. Gotta remeber when fishing murky to muddy water they have to rely on other senses besides site so you need to give them something they can hear.

Don't forget our old friend the rattle trap. Lots of noise and vibration to have the fish home in on.

a zoom u-tail worm is basicly just a ribbon tail worm.

We have some lakes with "murky" water. We just use regular colored baits, with rattles or without rattles. Depends on the pressure of the fish, if other tournaments are taking place then you may wish to go with out rattles (on your crankbaits).Otherwise your regular colors should be ok. Granted, if the water is muddy then different colors and approaches may be necessary.

im from ms too and ive been catchin post spawn fish in the thick weeds and gator grass on a large spinner bait with colarodo blades color realy isnt and issue as i was fishing a white and gray spinner and my cousin was fishing a multi colored spinner that looked like a box of fruit candy right now they are feeding and its the best time of year to catch quality fish over numbers murky water the fish stick to cover
i went last weekend and just fishing the points me and him caught out 5 fish limit in 45 mins and 2 of them were over 6 lbs the big sows are gettin off the beds late and are hungry they are hitting the vibration more than the site in my exsperiences
ok run down
large spinner with colorado "blades" i prefer 2 just me
fished IN weeds i throw up onto the bank and pull it out through the weeds at a medium roll
if that doesnt work large plastic like a brush hog in black with red fleck or somthing like a large tube again IN the cover they hold very tight to the cover in murky water
