muddy water

I know that muddy or off colored water will push fish shallow during the hotter months, due to muddy waters resistance to heat ( please correct me if im am wrong). But is it the exact opposite in the spring when they start spawning?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If I recall correctly, fish eggs need light to help them hatch. Therefore the dirtier the water (muddy) the shallower the fish will nest providing the water level stays stable. I have heard of them nesting shallow in higher water that was muddy and having the water level drop destroying the nest.

In the spring it mainly depends on the water temp. Muddy water tends to hold heat and I have seen fish in shallow when the temp was in the 60's but if is cold muddy water intrusion it will push em deeper. All depends on the conditions you are fishing at. A water temp gauge is a VALUABLE tool that should be used by everyone.
