Default Thoughts on Winterizing....

I learned two things the other day:

1. My outboard, though fairly quiet on the water, with its through-prop exhaust...is pretty loud on a peaceful cul de sac on a Sunday afternoon. I hope my neighbors can forgive me.

2. My 3000 lb. boat and trailer are a real sum' beyatch to push back up the 5-7% grade with just muscle power. Thank God for good wheel chocks. I am wondering how long the red marks in the shape of a trailer winch will take to fade from my turkey-swollen belly.

It takes a smart man to drive a boat. To push one? Not so much.

Yep...sounds like that boat was unhitched prematurely.
Moreover, the calculations for the required force of the angle of ascent relative to the distance over the coefficient of friction was just plain incorrect.
Force = mass x acceleration?

Should have consulted an Engineer!
