Default Watts bar lake

I live in Ohio and I going to Watts Bar lake at the end of April. How will I know if the fish are pre-spawn or post-spawn? Also, any tips will be appreciated.

Take a water temp reading or inquire at the marinas..You may hit a prespawn time (water temp in 50-60s) which would be better than trying to pick a big mama off her nest.

Watts Barr will be pre spawn spawn for smallmouth and pre spawn for largemouth. The Ky spotted bass will be spawn post spawn. the full moon in April will start the bigger SM spawning. The water temps will be mid 60's. Jerkbaits and spinnerbaits will be hot tickets. Fish2win
