My little fishing spot. (help ID fish as well please)
I live near a stream called the Piskasaw it runs pretty far through my county. There are millions of spots where you can fish it, this is one in a conservation area that no one goes to because to get to it you have to ride through about 70 feet of mud. I sit all day ontop of this bridge on my days off. The fish bite at all hours. (though mainly just chubs)
Caught the fish below on a jointed rapala lure. (what kind of fish is this?) I tried to get a picture of his mouth but it came out bad. His mouth was like on the bottom part of his body and he had no jaw it was just like cartlige. I figure its a sucker but I'm not sure. Caught this, the finger is missing, maybe theres a dead body under the water. |

looks like a little carp. odd for it to hit the rap. Carp are mostly bottom feeders. Thanks for the pictures, love to see other people spots...

It's a sucker. Those things are very aggressive and will hit fast vibrating baits.
Looks like you got yourself a fun spot! |

First fish is a chub also called an asp in europe.
Second is Primatex glove made in 1979 right hand version. Apparently it used as symbol for the flightless bird and was shot clean off. You should look for the missing finger.. Capt Mike

I don't think that's a chub. The chubs I catch out of this stream are about the length of a pencil and about a inch wide. Chubs also have a mouth you can grab onto.

Had another pretty good day Rock bass and a rainbow trout. The trout is much bigger than it looks in the pic as well. For reference that's my size 14 shoe.

Thats not an arctic grayling in the first pic is it? Where are you?
After looking at pics on the net, it resembles a grayling but I think the others are probly right, its probably a sucker of some sort.

Chubs can get up to 14" in length. We've got them in the streams around me. They grunt just like catfish and can be very aggressive. We call them "Virginia Silver Trout".
Carp have whiskers like catfish and do feed on bait fish at times. People catch them on crankbaits on the river all the time. |

Definitely a sucker. Carp would have the barbels such as 3d pointed out.
WTL, unless hewas in AK or Canada, I doubt it's a grayling. Grayling have more green and grey in them anyhow. |
