No fishin' for a while
Just got report cards today. Mine's not too hot, so I'm suspectin' my fishing is going to be severely restricted. Here's my parents faces: Fishing's pretty much all my parents got on me, (other than a good old-fashioned whoopen'), so when I get grounded that's usually all I lose. Sorry to waste forum space, just wanted to share the misery.

hate to see my old report cards. -personly i think my teachers threw me out of school so they would not have to deal with me for another year..

flbass,
Sounds like you recognize the problem, now do something about it! txlady is right, get in gear! By the way, good grades help pay for stuff such as lower insurance rates, college etc. I assume you are in high school and take from someone who has been there and done that. It is a lot easier to get a good grade in a class than it is to make up for a bad grade to try and raise your GPA. Good luck and study hard! |

I know the feeling, I've been doing a lot more homework than fishing lately. It probably wasn't the best idea to take ap chem and ap american history in the same year. Next year, my work load will be half this years even with 5 ap's, just cause american and chem are the hardest ones offered....ah well, 5 more weeks...

ap courses are supposed to be tough. im not going to make the mistake of underestimatingthem. i made it into 2 medical schools. one offers ap courses in all years, and the other offers AP in only the last 2 years. i gotta make a good choice now...

Spanish really depends on the teacher. The first 3 years I had it in high school the teacher was an idiot and didn't know what she was doing so we only learned vocabulary. I took German also at the same time for a year and learned more of that in one year than the 3 years of Spanish. I moved for my last year of high school and took Spanish 4 and it really kicked my butt since I was so far behind. I had to work with the teacher after school, etc. just to catch up. Now I have forgotten it all, but I wish that I had kept up with it since I talk to guys in Italy every day for work, luckily they speak English (sort of).

well kiddos, yall need to buckle down. just like in real life, when school give you a bad report card or work gives you a crappy paycheck, you're gonna have to do something about it. I'm wanting a new boat pretty dang bad, over the last six months, I've gone from 3-4 days per week on the water to MAYBE 1 once a week but more likely once every 2 weeks. Hunker down now, will make things easier in the future.....TRUST ME!

But I only went fishing one time this past quarter, that's why I don't know how she's blaming it on me being down at the pond? It's not like I'm allowed to go on weekdays!
