a new tax
the fine state of nc is adding a boat tax starting in 2007. does anybody know how they are setting up this tax ? is it a percentage like the car tax we currantly have -which would really suck-or a set fee? been hearing both and am a tad disgusted by the conflict. and does it protane to all craft or just registered boats?

Thats the first I've heard about it. Did you hear about Lohrs restaurant ? Rumor has it that they are going to tear it down and build a tackle store in it's place.

ok,not to change the subject, but everywhere I go (on line) people declare Lexington, NC (whateversubject) capital of the world. I have to draw the line at bar-b-que. There is Kansas city and Memphis. I'm sure that N.C. (in fact, I know,) has some great bar-b-que. Probably is the Pulled Pork capital of the world. But not General "bar-b-que". When a Bar-B-QUE team from Lexington win's both the Memphis in may, and the American Royal Bar-b-que competitions in the same year...then you can claim that title, or at least that title will be credible.
