Denny, a shakey head is a particular brand of jighead. It has an extra long hook which makes it good for T-rigging:

I like to throw a Trick or finesse worm on one.

Another one I like is a Spot Remover:

It has a unique way of holding the worm on the hook.

Reb, is this a clear water method or does it work in off colored water also?

Bob, unless it is real muddy water I'd throw it. Best way to find out is to throw it and see what happens.

I think I may be the only guy who dislikes these type of hooks/weights. I would prefer to just add a bullet, or split shot, with a standard hook. I haven't found any jig heads I like that I would switch over from my above method. Yeah it is a personal preference thing, but I have tried the Shaky Head's, Spot Removers, Paca Jig, etc.... None of them has a decent hook compared to my Owners, or Gammy Superlines. I am religious about a strong sturdy hook, and none of these have shown me that.
