Don't forget the bunk boards!
Hey guys-we answer questions about lights, bearings, etc. but something that doesn't get mentioned or in my case even thought about before last Saturday is the bunk boards.
I was participating in another Wounded Warriors tourney on a lake south of here. When I went to trailer the boat something didn't look right. Nosed the boat on the trailer and realized one of the bunk boards was floating. Turns out the bolts had all fallen out. Backed the boat off-no damage, didn't run it on the trailer-beached it and managed to lash the bunk board back on so I could trailer it. So next Saturday before we fish Flyrod and I will be replacing all the wood on the trailer. My point is when you check the other stuff check the bolts on the bunk boards. Might save you some trouble.
