Looks pretty sweet, but you'd have to put a gun to my head, to make me pay $28 for a popper!

'Zilla,

Heed not the naysayers!
It WILL work as advertised. All you have to do is tie on that TWENTY-EFFIN'-EIGHT DOLLAR (US) lure and throw it into the heaviest cover. Oh, almost forgot, it only works on 4 lb. test line.

For that much dinero, I'd buy a couple of Rapala SkootterPoopers, a bacon cheeseburger, fries (SuperSized), a diet Pepsi(TM), and a Moon Pie(TM) for 'zert.

You can buy lure retrievers, which is what most people that fish with high dollar lures do.

also know that lure retrievers do not always work. On a boat though you can usually get to the snag... when i fished the susquehana, Every time i got snagged the guide would turn on the trolling motor, and when we pass my bait it would magically pop up

One day I was a little bored and bought two $39 lures and three $30 Rago mice. I had about an hour to kill a few days after they arrived so I drove out to a lake and on the first cast one of the mice broke off mid cast.

I was hoping the wind would blow it in to me but after about five minutes I realized it was going farther out. Thirty bucks insn't a lot, but for a lure it kinda was and I really wanted to not get even one retreive with it. I actually waded out and got it.

I was stupid for going out there for it. When I got back to shore it was getting too dark and I haven't tied one on again yet.

I'm not sure why I get the expensive stuff becasue it just sits in the garage. I also spent I think $84 for Doug Hannon's Original Fishing Snakes but have only used one for about 20 minutes. Favorite thing I bought on the internet is the Huddle-Bugs. They work really well for me. I bought two of the trout ones there too but haven't had a chance to use them yet.

If I'm not mistaken, thats a top water bait. No problems hanging it up.
I just use a Splash It. (in my concern, not that great of a lure)
The best top water bait I've got is an old Pop-r from the early 80's. This bait has alot of teeth marks from past use. After modification it works better than the rest of my Pop-r,s. This particular bait is a confidence bait that I use only in tournaments.

Saw this one late too- Have you gotten a chance to fish it yet? I was wondering how that simulated gill stuff would work.

The gill thing would work. I made something like that a while ago, only thing is it was ahrd to epoxy the little channels so i couldn't get it fully sealed. But yes, it does work.

Hope you take the hooks off first!

That's one sweet looking popper. My eyes popped out when I saw the price!
