Kevin, what now?
OK so you updated everything, and made it a pain for all of us non-computer guys Do we just discontinue to not use the old board, are the 2 boards somehow connected? I read a post that was on the old forum but not here? I also like how you decided to call me McGuyver, although that is probably better suited for Mac10 in this forum Anyway tell me, other than just learning the new features, what we can expect. If somone posts a PM on the other forum, then will I get it here Anyway it's pretty close to the same, so I'm not too confused yet

Hey Lizards... you can still access the old forums by visiting:
http://www.bassfishin.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl I wouldn't worry about anyone posting or sending PM's through the old forum. I made it pretty clear that we updated and to correct their favorites/links. The old board and the new board are not connected, as I have transferred the messages over to this one. However, I have left the old board open so you can browse through it if you like. We are still working out some kinks in the system, such as some of the imported posts being associated with the wrong usernames. It will take some getting used to, but you will soon find the features and benefits of the new forum are worth the wait. Most notably, you will find this forum to be MUCH faster than the old one. If you remember on the old forum, if you wanted to "view the last 10 posts", it took up to 30 seconds sometime to run that query on the database and pull the results. On the top links bar of this forum you will notice a "NEW POSTS" link that will do the same thing, however without any wait! I will be making a post in the next day or two pointing out some of the most useful features of the forums and how to use them. If you run into any difficulties or have any questions about features, etc.. please feel free to drop me a line and I can help you along. Take care and good fishin' Kevin
