I fully understand since I was in the same boat a little over a year ago. It is A LOT of work doing what you do including losing sleep, losing fishing time, etc. Luckily for me my partner took over all the plastics and we have kept going. It is sad to see a quality built product go away but I'm sure you will be back someday.

Hey Kory, even though we don't like to admit it, priorities change, some for the better, others for the worse. i think you have good cause in your reasoning though. Lil Lake will only grow up once. My oldest will be 8 next month, and I so regret not taking more time than I did with him until he was a few years old. I still had too much baby in myself. But it is something I live with and made changes to try to rectify it. I started to get my permit to build rods, but I am going to hold off until they are all in school and I don't take away from them.

Kory. I'm sorry to hear you're not making them anymore. I've ALWAYS heard great things about your jigs, and it always seemed like it was something you enjoyed.
BUT....you're definitely making the right call. My hat is off to you

You are making the right decision Curado, the rods will be there to be built when they are older just the same as they are there now.

Curado and Mallen I appreciate what you guys said. I did enjoy making the jigs, and to an extent still do. The only time I didn't enjoy it was when it was taking my time away from Lake and Britney. I can still make them for myself and friends just like I did before the company came along, and this way I can make them when I have time to and not have to worry about people waiting on them.

Definitely the right decision for you to make. You will be glad that you made it and love the time spent with your family. Thanks for making such a quality jig for as long as you did. I took an order at one time, the jigs were awesome and I'm still catching fish on them. Please let me know if you get some of those football heads in, I will surely take them off your hands. If they're half as good as your others, they'll be miles ahead of some other brand name jigs I've used in the past!

I can't add anything that hasn't already been said. We all respect you and your decision. Its a hard one to make, but IMO, its easier to do this than to look back later and say "I wish I woulda......." when it comes to your children.
