Default and the count goes up!

Fished La Cygne today from 7am-3pm. Lots of boats fishing for the little white bass that were everywhere. Nice thing about it was it left that bass pretty much all to us. Jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and shakeyheads were the deal. Fished with Peter and we both caught fish pretty steady all day, just mostly little ones. I'd bet well over half of them wouldn't have bumped 12" if you'd have jumped up and down on them first. They were willing to bite and that was the important thing. I had big fish of the day with a 18.5" fish that when 3 3/4 pounds on a shakeyhead. The rock bank by the river mouth was the only place we could get bit with any regularity. I ended up with 19 and he caught around 15 I think.

Hoping to get past the 1,000 mark by my birthday (4/29). I'm hoping I'll get at least 2,500 this year but might depend on how gas prices go this summer on how much I get to go.
I forgot about the big fish contest! I need to look at the rules and stuff to make sureI know the rules and regulations for it in case I catch a big one this year

Dang Man....According to my 2011 log I went fishing 61 times and caught 1107 bass for an average of 18.14 per trip. I was actually pretty proud of that.....I'm gonna have to bear down on them this year to just qualify to carry your jock strap around Way to go. You know I think there are a lot more really talented guys on this board than you'd think at first glance.

I need to give that lake a try again. I went one time and it was horrible but I have heard some many good things about the lake.

La Cygne beats me way more often than I beat it. I caught more fish this last trip than the previous 2 combined but I've caught at least one keeper (18" or more) all 3 trips too. One of my favorite things about it is your next cast could be a 10 pounder! Not many lakes in Kansas can you say that.

Very true (from what I have heard) and not many lakes like that in the states next to us either.
