Default better hook up ?

Hey guys i was wondering how i could get a better hook up while using a spro frog ontop of grass and moss and stuff. Could it be my rod cuz once i was using a med light with no success and then i used a medium with little success. Have yet to use my med heavy but if yall could just give me a little advice it would be greatly appreciated.!!!

Definitely suggest you go with a MINIMUM of med/hvy with Heavy rod being the preference. I'd also go with low-stretch braid as well to help with hook set and actually getting the fish to the boat through the thick stuff. I'm sure this simple change will give you better results!

After ya see the fish take the frog, wait a few seconds till you feel the weight of the fish, then set the hook, make sure your hooks are super sharp.

Excellent advice gentlemen, stiffer rod and waiting a little time before the hookset & razor sharp hooks; I can only add tougher less stretchy line, coils badly but it doesn´t stretch, give-take situation.

I think braided line will help. Also, bend the hooks upward (just a little), away from the body of the frog and shorten the legs by an inch or so (I think this helps with short strikes). I did this and it increased the amount of fish I landed with the frog.
