Default Trying to find a crank bait

Well I finally started catching fish on a crank bait on Sunday. The problem is that I had a fish get deep into the tullies and he kept the crank as a souvenir. That would not be too big of an issue, but I have no idea what bait I was using. I am sitting here going through the BPS and Cabella sites trying to find the right one, but thought someone might have a guess.

This was a shallow crank with a spade shaped lip. It had red eyes and a round body. Color looked like blue gill with a yellow belly.
The lip did not have a name brand on it so I don’t believe it was rapala.
It wouldn't have been a BPS or Cabella's brand and more than likely I got it from wally world, sprots authority, or big 5. Worse case scenario is that I will go and search out their aisles.

It sounds like a Matzuo Zander shad crankbait in tiger perch color ?. I am only guessing. Walmart had them. P N J

Thanks PnJ. I thought Matzuo put their name on the belly of the baits. the only reason I know this one didn't have any name was that my buddy asked me what it was after the 4th fish and I couldn't tell him.

That my friend is exactly why I buy two the tree of everything I buy. When I lose one , I got a replacement at home , and I can then reorder to replenish...a fishin friend of mine taught me that.

CMorg,

I do that with baits that I use often and one's I know will produce. I have not had a lot of luck with cranks in the past, so I chose not to in this case.

Looking at the sites, I would say that there is a good chance this was a bandit 100 in baby bass. The color's are darn close. Not too sure of the lip itself yet. This was th eonly one I had that had the rounded shovel like lip.
Also, I am pretty sure that the ring attached to the nose of th ebait rather than the lip, but I could be mistaken.

Mystery solved.

I am positive that it was the bomber model 2A in baby bass.

If you're catching fish on crankbaits, check out the Bandit 100's. Bluegill is my personal favorite color.

JB, you definately won't be dissappointed with it. Most of our crankbait fish came on the blue bandit 100. I think we have like four or five bandits in bluegill. including 2 100's.

I am sorry, I thought you meant spade shaped like a spade shovel.

I hate the quality of the new Bomber cranks. They are the worst for the money. but they do catch fish. P N J

I work with a bunch of Recon guys, and a few SEAL's. We all get along just fine. But my fathers company comes out to San Diego every 3 months for some training, so you never know... I'd love to get out there and fish. Arizona is as far west as I've been able to fish.
