Default Brush Hog rigging

I know Brush Hogs (Zoom) and baby brush hogs are really popular lures all over the place and in all different kinds of waters. I was just curious how people rigged them for different conditions and what colors they used. For example:

I mainly fish in clear water that has dead mesquite bushes for cover and a lil hydrilla here and there. The color I use (the majority of the time) is watermelon red and I fish it TX rigged.

Watermelon red is my absolute favorite color for clear to slightly stained water. Stained to muddy I use black/blue and junebug. I mostly T-Rig the brush hog, but on occasion I'll use the baby as a jig trailer.

I mainly use Brush Hogs for Carolina Rig. Like all my plastics I carry 4 colors. Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Red, Black Blue, and JuneBug.

I use 'em texas rigged too. Green pumpkin black flex is my favorite color for sure. Another good technique is to use them weightless and snake them along the top, it's a good fallow through bait after tossing a buzz frog, it's picked up some nice fish in the past.

If you're fishing submerged brush - try a reverse T-rig. Rig it backwards inserting the hook in the head of the bait, use a screw-in bullet weight in the tail. The bait will fall tail first on a straight line. Can be deadly at times, especially if fishing vertically in deeper water. Clear water, I'd stick with greens and browns.

I use Brush Hogs as a carolina rig bait and a flipping and pitching bait. I also use Baby Brush Hogs as a flipping and pitching bait, carolina rig bait, and jig trailer. The colors I use the most are Green Pumpkin, Green Pumpking/Purple Flake, PB&J, Bull Frog, Watermelon Candy, and Black/Blue. There are a lot more colors that I use but this is what I can think of now.

I'm gonna have to try the backwards T-rig.

Zoom came out with two new colors in Nov. Watermelon Orange and Green Pumpkin Orange. Haven't fished em yet but they look pretty good. Also think those would make a good color for their lizards...

I will use them mostly for pitching and flipping. I usually use a 1/2 oz weight and a 3/0 hook. Lately I have been having a lot of luck putting them on a shakey head.
