What knot to tie? Fluoro to hook
I know this has been asked and answered but I cannot find it anywhere. I promise I used the search function too.
What is the best knot to tie a fluoro leader to the hook? The application will be for weightless plastics or carolina rig setup. |

I use the polomar knot for everything. Just wet it before you pull it tight.

i've been using the trilene knot because of the 2 wraps around the hook eye, but the palomar is so easy it's hard to argue it's uses.
look at the animated knot guide |

i like the palomar knot as well as the trilene knot. another knot you don't hear much about but it's a good one is the worlds fair knot. not sure if it's in the knot guides listed on here or not but you can google it.

I have looked at the these (fishing knots and Grog fishing knots) animated knot websites before but I was just wondering what you guys are comfortable using for fluoro to hooks. I prefer the palomer knot but was unaware of its positive qualities with fluoro and mono. I thought it was just for braid. I have yet to try the worlds fair knot with anything. I usually go with what I can remember when I am fishing. For me it looks like it is going to be the palomer for hooks from now on, the uni to uni for mono backing to braid, and the j-knot for braid to leader.
