Default After Fishing

So I was just wondering what everyone does once they finish fishing? Not like go home and have a beer, but what do you do with your fishing gear? lets say once a week or longer is the most you can fish. I am sure people that fish everyday don't do much to store their gear.

I reorganize mine and clean any junk off them, then lug them all in the house. I tuck them in the closet tell them a bedtime story and have a good cry thinking of how long it will be till i get them out again

I clean mine up from the days fishing, back the boat into the garage and the gear all stays in the boat waitting for me to give it a wink and head out again next weekend.

It depends....If it was a good day!..I go clean my gear then treat myself to some Taco Casa as a reward!...If it was a bad day,I go clean my gear and treat myself to some Taco Casa to cheer me up!

Usually drive home and analyze everything I did on the water that day, and think of what I could have done different to catch more fish. Then get home and re-organize my baits and clean any gear off that needs it.

My gear gets a wipe down and goes back into my "fishing closet" until the next trip out. If I know I'm going out again the next day I occasionally leave my stuff in the car but I'm too scared someone will break in so I try not to do that.

Lug everything in to the bedroom. After sufficient re-organization I look for things which need a little extra cleaning and put everything in my closet. If any rod needs new line it stays out until new line is applied.

Tut them in the "fishing equipment" corner of the garage and hope I get to use them again sometime soon.

Carry everything into my man cave(the spare room in my house that has all my fishing, gun stuff and trouphys) and take all the baits of and look at what worked and what didn't.

So when you guys say you clean your equipment does that just mean give a wipe down to anything dirty and thats it or is there some special way you clean your gear?

Also I know it is not a good idea to put baits back in the tackle box wet...But what do you do when your out on the water and change lures? Do you just leave them wet and dry them when you get home? I have the Silica gel packs in each plano box that has hooks but is that enough?

I take most of my stuff out of my tackle bag, reorganize it, and get ready for the next one

Go eat a hardee's thickburger. Then clean what needs to be cleaned. Clean the boat, clean the reels that need it, and if it's going to be awhile before I go out next I will strip all the line of my reels.

Hook the batteries on the charger, clean the used soft plastics out of the boat, respool the rods that need new line and spray KVD Line and Lure on the rods I used. Then I put the soft plastics back in their respective binders, restock what I need to and am ready for the next trip.
