We use a two part epoxy. Any kind that is water resistant will work. I prefer a 5 or 10min.
The ones that look like this (but 5-10 minutres, not 50) http://www.hardwarestore.com/media/p...2_front200.jpg BB

To remove a broken or damaged tip guide, you use heat to remelt the glue.
You can't remelt super glue nor two part epoxy. So if you go that route and need to replace those guides again, you're going to have to cut the rod tip. The few guides I've replaced, I've used a glue gun to put a small amount of glue on the rod, then twisted a tip guide on.

They sell it as a kit with rod tips. It's a red tube.Like Joel stated. You heat the old tip up just enough to be able to pull it off.Heat the glue stick up and rub some glue on the rod tip blank and slide the new tip on before the glue hardenes. You can reheat the tip to move it if further alignment is desired. Do not apply to much heat to the rod blank. It can damage it. P N J
