warning to tackle bag user's
i use to of them a flw 3600 bag and a vandam 3700 bag. normaly in a bass boat the bags are between my feet. as my partner has a fish and ski. i had them behind me one-the vandam bag- was sitting on the back seat.i forgot to zip the lid all the way.about 2 miles in to a 5 mile run we hear a noise both of us looked back in time to se my spinner bait box-the second one down- to go acrossed the back deck and lodge in the splash well.the top box -one of two crank bait boxes in the bag-was gone my partner threw a u turn and we went back and found the box upside down floating in the chop.thank god for floating crankbaits as the box was full of water. i would have really missed this box as it contains about 100 crankbaits. 30 of which are pointers-doh!! and double DOH!!- so next time you are racing acrossed the lake remember to zip the bags ALL the way closed. i had mine zipped acrossed the top but not down the front.-this wont happen again-.

Dyas-if you don't already do this, when you are running turn your hat around backwards. I haven't had one blow off since I started doing that.

yeah and then figure 70 more at $5.00 each roughly $850-$900 just for the contents of ONE box. glad my spinner bait box was not on top-it would have sunk like a stone.

Good fortune to you. If you do that again, you may not be lucky enough to find your equipment. (especially if your's truly is in the rear) All of my boxes slide in from the top, so therefore I'm not in danger. By the way, what lake where you on when this took place ? If it was Badin, then don't worry, I ain't going out there unless it's absolutely necessary.
Have you heard any thing about the state re-stocking Badin with bass ?

how many fish did you catch again??? i found the pattern last sat but after i yanked 3 shorts out of that pattern-grass- my partner deceided to fish deep laydowns the rest of the day:'( although he did pull out a keeper from "a grassy point"
maybe some day i will have to show you how to fish badin. when they are biting decently. told ya it was going to be tough. was suprised at the amount of fish weighed in. zooker

I remember back when I owned a bass boat,I jumped in my boat and cruised all the way to my fishing hole and could'nt remember if I had put my tackle bag in the boat. Then it hit me, I had her park the truck after I launched the boat and forgot to wait for her.

I caught about as many as I expected to catch. Granted, I was bass fishing on a lake thats basically void of LM bass. You did great, what was your total weight ? Badin is not my favorite lake. For that matter, I hate that place, I'm going to vote that we never go there again, I'm sure that would carry alot of weight ! However, you brag about Badin and the fish that you catch there. So what happened, and don't blame your partner. Next time maybe just take your own boat.
