scent makes a difference!!
as most know, a bass can smell 1/200th of a drop of something. but the important part is not that the bass smells its food, but that it does not
smell negative odors that could be on your hand, lure, motor ect. heres a couple of thing i do: 1. i wash my hands in a non-smell soap or odor nuetralizer. 2. then i take a garlic, shad, or crawfish scent formula and pour some in my hand. 3. i rub hands together with the scent till it dries, so everytime i touch the lure it has a little scent on it. 4. last i put some on the lure, popper feathers, skirts baldes, worms anything. this could be the difference between a good fishing day and a bad one. also, gas up the day before

spinnerbaits ,jigs, and any softplastic baits are what i put scent on i also take care to wash my hands in fishermans liquid soap.. crankbaits and hard plastic baits do not hold scents and are a waste of time and scent..

Save some money. Check out the discount/clearance hunting stuff. We carry a non scent soap for about 8 dollars, we are clearing them out at 2.97.

Here is a little tip. I often take some scent like the Berkley, or yum and put a small amount in the palm of my hand. Then I work it all over the surface of my finger and palm until covered. Then when I handle my lure I do two things. 1) I dont pass human scent to my lure( L-serine) 2) I tranferr small amouts of the attractant to the lure itself. This is something I do particularly when fishing with plastics or jigs.
Also dont discredit using scents directly on you spinnerbaits or crankbaits. They will lay down a scent trail that can make a fish follow the baits or make a fish become active in hunting a bait. Fish2win

I have had good experiences with MegaStrike. It comes in a tube.
I was fishing for trout using my secret lure and a salmo. I casted and kept having hits but couldn't connect. I put on megastrike and caught 3 more!

I don't thnk shaving cream is the answer. Its water soluble,it won't last very long while you fish with it. Stainless steel will remove odors from your hands, Some one even marketed a soap shaped peice of stainless steel for the purpose. Most kitchen sinks are stainless steel. I wouldn't recommend trying the preparation H, not that I have any room to talk. I eat a couple spoonfuls of Vicks vapor rub to cure a severe cold.I think they put the for externally use only warning lable on there for a disclaimer. Most people would have a very difficult time eating vicks anyway, its not something you will be willing to snack on while watching television.P N J

Im a firm beleiver in scents. Fish2win you hit the nail on the head and unregisted ( I think I know who u are ) LMAO!!!!! Whether they are necessary or not I beleive in stacking the odds. I have done small testes with scents and have found my bite ratio to go up with the use of scents. Especially on plastics. Not only gets em to hold on a bit longer but also helps the grass to not cling to.

you have a weird sense of humor, I would swear you are JB, but maybe not.It could be me as well or even Laser.Fish on , I do eat vicks vapor rub to cure a cold.My whole family has done that for years. Before the warning labels were added. I wait until I am really sick and can't take much more before I do. So far it has helped. P N J

Come to think of it we have got alot of remedies for a cold or flu. Fry 3 or 4 onions in a pan and eat them to help fight a cold. A shot of whiskey, tobasco sauce, ginger brandy, 2 table spoons of vinegar, and some honey.mix it together and drink it and get some rest.Since I can't drink, I have been using ginger root and green tea to sweat it out.
