Default suffix braid rocks

spooled up some 50 lb suffix braid on 2 rods.i hate to say it but so far this stuff is nicer than powerpro.it's smoother and makes less noise and handles better.it's rounder and tip wraps less.if it lasts as long i'm sold.

don't get me wrong.powerpro is still a great braid.it's the standard that i judge all others by and so far nobody but suffix has achieved that standard.also, like i said, braids tend to soften with use so we will see if i stil love it by the end of the season.

I've known they made a quality product but have yet to personally test their braid. About to buy a new spool of 20 lbs power pro along with a 20 lbs suffix braid and compare the 2. To accurately compare the two, I'm gonna have to buy the same rod/reel combo to make everything equal, the monkeys always biting me hanging off my ***, I'm always spending causing of that little #$*&er!

I really like the sensitivity and strenght of the power pro, and will prob try some suffix too.
My only beef so far with the braid, is one loop knot that got in my line, plus the digging in of the spool..other than that I love it for pitching and flipping..am going to stick with mono for crankin and spinnerbait tho, undecided on fluke, probably go mono on that too

JB

PP is superoir and allows more action when fishing the fluke. Trust me on this. The only thing that I havent been usng on PP all the time is topwaters and cranks in 15ft of water or less. Reason being I tend to shotgun a bass (super fast hook set) and copolymer or mono gives the bass a bit more time to be on the bait. I do use the PP on deeper diving cranks, allows be to pull the hooks free if need be on the deeper cranks.

laser,
thanks for the tip, the only other application I don't care for on powerpro is spinnerbait, it seems like the knot slips up and down the wire on a spinnerbait, no big whoop tho

Not with a little dab of Pro's Soft Bait Glue Or of course you could get a small piece of rubber tubing, and put it on before tying the spinnerbait on
