Smitty Shad
Just showing off some baits that 3Dkicker had done for me by Fishnart. They turned out sweet!
The first one is a 25 year old Bagley Original Fat Cat. My favorite crankbait of all time! The second is an Original Wiggle Wart, somewhere around 20 years old! I like then both a lot, but this paint scheme is my favorite. Thanks again to 3dkicker! These are sweet! If you want to see some more of Fishnart's work, you can find him on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fishna...s/362491793752 |

Law Office of Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe. I really like how Fatcat pattern came out. It's the first of it's kind. I think it needed a little more white on the belly but I can't complain with the results. My buddy Donnie does a great job. Cam - Great pics. I hope you can use them sometime in the near future...... |

Those look great. I really like the body style of the Bagley though. How deep does it run?

Yes, but most on ebay are the second generation Fat Cat's that came out in 2001 or so for a short period, and they are plastic. They do work (I have several) but they just aren't the same as the old balsa baits.
I do see some of the old Balsa ones on there right now. But, about 1 in every 5 had the bill properly aligned, and would work the way it was supposed too. That was the one of the major reasons they (and other balsa baits) were discontinued. If you can find a good one though, look out! They are a deadly lure. |

Met up with Donnie today to drop off some baits. Got a bunch of baits for free and gave them to him. Thought he'd like to paint them and see what he or I can get for them at the shows this winter. 3 Bombers 6A and 7A, 200 Bandit, Wiggle Wart, Rebel Deep Wee R, 2 Frenzy jerkbaits, a LC LV7, and a Redeye shad. He's going to see if he can do a Snakehead on one of the jerkbaits. He should make a few $$ with these. Also got him doing a Pointer 78 and a Shad Rap in one of his custom shads and 2 Mad N's in one of his bluegill/sunfish patterns for me. I'll see if I can post some pics before they sell to the public. |

The sunfish pattern posted on Facebook is the one my friend "the Major" created and uses. He had a RC Wake painted in the pattern and I watched fish explode on it fishing with him this past summer. Although he thinks that it only works for a short period of the year and that the shad patterns work better year round. |

He played with the crawfish last winter and did a few. Haven't tried one yet but will probably get one or two done this winter. Not big on the craw pattern crankbait. I'd use a jig or plastic craw first. But I'm happy to sell his stuff to people who do like craw colored patterns.
