They are saying that the second shipment isn't going to be until February or March. I am going to wait until 2 years from now when they are 150 each and there are more than 10 games to play on it. That is when I might get one.

some on ebay go for over 2000.00 dollars. think about it, wait in line two days, pay 628.00 dollars for a ps3 and resell for over 2000.00. that is one heck of a mark up, or a days work. put in that perspective, not a bad idea to wait. personally, i wouldnt do it.

I personally dont see what all the hooey is about. but tahts just my opinion. i dont play video games much, and if i was going to get a new game system id get the xbox 360 which is already out. camping outside a store waiting for the store to open to buy the things is a bit crazy, but im sure its pretty fun ahha. im not even about to go pay over 600 bucks for somehting like that. i have other more important needs, but again all my opinion.

the only reason i want a game system is for madden football, ncaa football, a few select war games, and the grand theft auto games.

I bought my 17 yr. an xbox360 for xmas. The dang thing costed 430.00 after shipping. But I'm not dumb enough to spend six bills on a PS3..Oh no I'm way to smart for that...Yeah Right!
I play PC games, and my 6 yr. old can't tell the diff from a Ps2 and a Ps3, man I'm lucky!
Whatever happened to PONG??? Can't theses dang kids just get an atari or something...
You ruin your eyesight with them PS3's...Oh and you'll put your eye out....enough said, more than enough said I would say, oh wait....

for a freakin' 600.00 system...Additionaly people are bidding in excess of 1500.00..which proves people are really sheep!

The ps3 is a lot more advanced than the xbox 360. You would have to add on over $200 to get the same use out of it. I saw one ps3 go for $7100 on ebay yesterday. I like video games--Madden, NCAA Football, Fishing, but my favorite games are the SOCOM series. A buddy of mine was ninth in line and Wal-Mart only got eight ps3's, but they gave out two rain checks so he will get the next one they get. We know a guy that works there and he showed us the paper SONY sent out. They said they are going to have 2 million units out by Christmas. He also said that they will be getting 4-6 ps3's every week so he should have his soon. Our buddy is giving him his employee discount(a whopping 10%) so he didn't pay quite $600, but close.

Are they camping out everytime they get a new shipment? I seen 4-5 guys sitting in lawn chairs on Friday night in front of walmart-mind you my towns pop. is 4700 our walmart is kinda like a conveince store. Its still in the 70's here, I can think of alot better things to do than sit at walmart and wait to spend 6 bills on a video game.

Well if i had any idea how much i could sell one on ebay for i'd have pitched a tent out in front of my local Circuit City or BestBuy, waited for however long i needed, spent the 600 bucks, then turned around and sell it on Ebay for a cool 4 grand. Haha

02, you hit the nail on the head there. I would definitely do it. But they say hindsight is 20/20. The last word i have heard is that the next shipment is going to be around Dec. 1, but don't hold me to it. I have already heard so many different stories i think i am listening to a bunch of Bass Fisherman.

HaHa... "listening to a bunch of Bass Fishermen." Funny! I heard the Dec. 1 thing too but I bet my local Best Buy only gets like 3 in (if they even get here)... they call that a shipment. We have 3 walmarts here and each one got like 5. The best buy got 8... the preorder people were pissed.

I laughed at the guys sitting outside my local wallie world. Then found out one of the younger Firemen in my dept. sold his for $4,400. the same day he spent $600. on it. How's that for a profit. Hell, I might go wait in line.

Dont spend alot of time on video games. I like True Crime Streets of LA for XBox though. I like my psp though.

My buddy got his PS3 on Thursday. The graphics are awesome. He played all day friday and saturday. He is also trying to get the Wii. He stood outside EBGames on Friday morning at 3 am. He was fifth in line. The people that work there told most of the people in line all week that they would get under 10 but at least 6 so he thought he was going to get one. They opened the doors and said that they only had 3. He was livid. He said he is going to call the manager and let him have it.
