Fish Fry Narrowly Averted!
I finally caught my first keeper of the year. Patoka has a 15 inch minimum, and I bet this bass went every bit of 15.001 inches. He was a feisty critter too...he survived all day in my custody. I let him go home to his relatives at the end of the day though, since I was unable to convince them to come see him.
 He thanked me by jabbing his dorsal spine into my thumb while cooling me off with a nice splash of water from his tail as I fumbled around in aforementioned livewell.

hahahahaha, alright nofear. yea, he most likely told the others like they did here about the deep dark pot huh? and sometimes they do get back at us. lol.

I'm not sure if that qualifies as a case of bass thumb but congrats on the catch .
