You're going to hear various answers, I use Trilene mono and PowerPro braid, but theres a LOT of great lines out there and some ppl will swear by one and another angler will curse it. I think alot of it depends on what kind of body of water you fish and many other factors.

I've noticed you have a lot of questions. Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing. It's how you learn. But when asking something like this, try to give a bit more info.

Like what kind of cover are you fishing, what techniques are you fishing, is the water clear or dirty, etc.

Then I'd go with braid over mono. for just vegetation, 30lb should be fine. But around rocks and trees where the braid could get cut, use 50lb. Although, if the water is really clear and the vegetration isn't really thick, you may want to try 15-17lb fluorocarbon. It'll hold up better on the rocks.

Sufix is my first choice with Power Pro being second. I am going to try the new Fireline Braid sometime too. It looks nice. If you decide on FC (make sure it's on a baitcaster) for those applications, I suggest Seaguar AbrasX.

i would look into fluorocarbon as well but the above are all good advice , and I would try using the search button at the top of the page to find answers for some of these questions , there are prob about 200 to 300 threads about line .

I'd have to say it depends:

What will you be primarily fishing with it? If you are going to be using it for everything I's go with 12 lb P-Line Floroclear. Tough line that handles like a dream.
