Gettin ready
Just cleaned and lubed all my reels. For me, I don't look foreward to doing it. But I'm always shocked at how dirty they are and how glad I am I did it once I'm done. Ice out is getting close now. Just a month away normally/ In about 3 weeks I'll be adding new line. Can't wait to get out there and jerk a few heads!

I think we take having a year long season for granted down in the south. I think I'd lose it if I was up there!

We generally have a year long season here but the last few winters have found us in the same boat as Keith. I haven't done much in the way of getting gear ready but I will be starting soon.

Oh yeah, we are gettin' close now!! Supposed to be in the 40's and 50's this week with some rain and wind. Let's say goodbye to the ice, and welcome the soft water once again! This has been a really bad winter for me... I have been itching to get on the water since the first day of ice....

Besides cleaning cork, I haven't done anything to get ready. I haven't even stripped old line off yet. And the closest I've gotten to opening up a reel was putting the spool I bought for my fuego in (which doesn't fit )
Ryan, I couldn't wish for the ice to melt any harder, but we've got a lot of it. More ice than I've ever seen, getting close to 20" and reports of more in some places. So it'll be a good while till it all melts, unless it stays 50's for a while and rains a lot. (crossing my fingers! ) BB
